- Mystery Book Giveaway: Monday, April 4th through Friday, April 8th
Ecorse Public Library is celebrating Library Week with a mystery book give away! Stop into Ecorse City Hall starting Monday, April 4th @ 4pm to pick up your free mystery book. Each book will be labeled with an appropriate age range and a little teaser about the content. Books will be available while supplies last. Happy Library Week!

- Libby Q&A (virtual): Thursday, April 28th @ 7:30pm
Join Ecorse Public Library to learn about the latest reading resource- Libby!
Libby is an eBook and eAudiobook application. After this informal Q&A, you will know how to acquire a virtual card, use the Libby app, and you will be well on your way to accessing thousands of books and magazines with just a few clicks!

Michigan Notable Author Visit: Thursday, June 16th @ 6pm
Ecorse Public Library has been selected to host Michigan Notable Author, Paula Yoo! Yoo will speak about her title "From a Whisper to a Rallying Cry: The Killing of Vincent Chin and the Trial That Galvanized the Asian American Movement" (published by Norton Young Readers). Join us in person for light refreshments, and what is sure to be an engaging conversation with Ms. Paula Yoo. There will also be a virtual option available for those unable to attend in person. Here is a brief description of the title: An engaging and well-researched non-fiction about the 1982 murder of Vincent Chin, a Chinese American man, beaten to death in Detroit at the hands of two white men, and the lenient sentence given to those who killed him. This murder and trial galvanized Asian-Americans to call for hate crime reforms.
